Construction Manager – Healthcare, Education & Commercial Projects

Our client is a privately owned design & build contractor delivering complex projects across the healthcare, education, and commercial sectors. With a strong reputation for quality delivery and a collaborative culture, they continue to secure repeat business across live and regulated environments.

Due to sustained growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Construction Manager to support project delivery across multiple schemes.


The Role

Reporting to the Senior Construction Manager or Project Lead, you will take responsibility for coordinating construction packages, managing subcontractors, and driving programme on site.

This is a delivery-focused role requiring strong organisation, commercial awareness, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams within live project environments.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Project Manager in delivering projects to programme, budget, and quality standards

  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors on site

  • Monitor progress against drawings, specifications, and programme

  • Manage variations relating to time, cost, and quality

  • Contribute to procurement scheduling and package management

  • Attend and contribute to site progress, client, and subcontractor meetings

  • Produce construction reports, snagging documentation, and progress updates

  • Record delays and support cost reviews alongside the PQS

  • Liaise regularly with suppliers and subcontractors to maintain programme momentum

  • Travel to site as required, including occasional overnight stays


About You

  • Proven experience as a Construction Manager or Senior Site Manager within a main contractor environment

  • Background delivering healthcare, education, or commercial D&B projects

  • Strong subcontractor management and coordination skills

  • Commercially aware with experience handling variations

  • Organised, proactive, and confident working both independently and within a wider team

  • Comfortable attending client and stakeholder meetings
